Taoyuan city has been devoting in shaping its position in the artistic field of vocal music and in converging itself into a harbour opened to all vocal-art enthusiasts. 2023 Vocal Festival in Taoyuan (VFTY) functions as a platform of the assemblies of the international vocal-art lovers for the purpose of interchange, and serves likewise in the cultivation of promoting and popularizing vocal-art as well as fostering the local teams.
On 1st July, 2023, Clap Hands A Cappella concert lifts a prelude of VFTY, arranged by a group of local young people from Taoyuan and Hsinchu. It is happening in an ancient barn served back to 1936, where is nowadays transformed into Barn 169 Theater for cultural activities.

A contest for A Cappella team and for Chorus team will be brought to live on 15th and 16th July, 2023 at Music Hall, Zhongli Arts Hall, and a grand finale generated by a diversified and cross-border vocal performance will be drawn by two dynamic concerts each evening. An abundant programme will be brought up by a series of repertoire from the international maestro Kaichiro Kitamura and his partners, by a range of vivacious popular music from one of the 2022 A Cappella winners – team of Turtles Catching the Train, by a quintessential selection of Taiwan musicals from Taichung Chamber Choir, and by one of the 2022 Chorus winners – Feng-Hua Female Choir, as well as by the 2023 winners in A Cappella and in Chorus teams.
